Why are some items in the variety more expensive than others?
All food is made to order and made with quality as a standard, along with deliciousness! Foods that tend to have a higher price include foods such as pasta, because the pasta is 100% handmade from scratch. My favorite pasta is fresh pasta, and when you order dishes like spaghetti or fettuccine (vegan and non-vegan) the pasta is handmade right before being cooked. Other more premium dishes include dishes like the cajun pasta, shrimp & grits, and gumbo because they include higher priced ingredients or take a lot of time to cook. Trust me when I say the food is made with love and care in mind and that requires time :)
Foods placed in the 5, 10, or 15 meal options are not priced higher because they are made with more bulk ingredients, it requires less ingredient specification. For example, because food is made to order, ordering only 2 portions (included in the variety options), I may source a butcher a specific number of ingredients. If you order the 5 meal option I can purchase bulk ingredients, and bulk ingreints tend to be more affordable!
Can I suggest omissions or substitutions?
Yes you can! When you place an order, there is a special requests box underneath allowing you to request changes to your order. I will try my best to adhere to your request. If not, I will contact you for a reason why and try my best to make it as you like as much as possible!
